Fasting does the soul good!

Updated: Jan 5

Good morning,

Philippians 2:13, "For it is God who works in you to will and to act for His good purpose".

We prepare our mind, body, and soul for this 14-day journey.

Why are we fasting? We are fasting for spiritual growth, for guidance, for healing, for divine breakthroughs, for our children, for resolutions of problems, and for His grace to handle difficult situations.

As we fast, we are to ask the Holy Spirit to bring clarity to our thoughts and hearts.

Fasting and prayer are distinct, yet they complement each other. Prayer seeks the unseen, while fasting involves letting go of the seen and temporal. Fasting serves to manifest, deepen, and validate our resolve to sacrifice, ourselves, for the sake of the kingdom of God.

As we fast, let us repent and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any hidden sin or unforgiveness that would hinder our divine connection and prayers.

Remember you are building, and you will encounter challenges and even opposition, but stay on task.

You will experience moments of impatience, discomfort, irritability, and physical tiredness, but stay on task.

Be encouraged, get excited!

Be in expectancy!
